DIAGLAB — Version dated 17 September 2026 · Français

This English translation is provided for information. If it differs from the French version, the French version prevails, subject to any mandatory rights applicable to the user.

1. Publisher and purpose

DIAGLAB is published by François GAYON EI, Cosmick Tech, SIREN 828 123 620, 1955 route de Cambernard, 31470 Sainte-Foy-de-Peyrolières, France. Contact: s62labcontact@gmail.com; +33 9 50 02 24 92. These Terms apply exclusively to DIAGLAB, independent diagnostic-assistance software with no affiliation with or endorsement by BMW. They do not govern VANOS LAB licences or S62 SHOP purchases.

2. Licence and acceptance

The available version is free of charge and requires no licence purchase. The user receives a personal, non-exclusive right to use the software on vehicles they own or are authorised to access. The user reads and accepts these Terms before downloading the software from the website. Free availability does not transfer any intellectual-property rights and does not make the software free of copyright restrictions.

Redistribution, commercial sale, circumvention of protections and unauthorised modification are prohibited, subject to statutory exceptions, including interoperability and backup-copy rights. Third-party components remain governed by their respective licences.

3. Compatibility and limitations

DIAGLAB is intended for Windows and for the vehicles, ECUs and interfaces expressly identified on its download page and in its documentation. Compatibility is not guaranteed with another configuration, a modified ECU, faulty wiring or a non-compliant interface. The user must check their equipment and configuration before connecting.

A build identified as “development”, “beta” or “experimental” may contain defects, interruptions or incomplete features. No commitment is made to permanent availability, correction within a specified period, individual support or future compatibility, unless expressly agreed or required by law. Any legally applicable security updates and conformity obligations remain due.

4. Safety and vehicle work

DIAGLAB assists analysis; it is not a mechanical inspection, roadworthiness test, safety certificate or certification that a vehicle is fit to drive. A fault code or displayed value alone is insufficient to identify the fault or repair. The absence of a stored fault does not guarantee that the vehicle is in good condition. Results must be checked against manufacturer procedures and, if in doubt, by a qualified professional.

The user must have the skills required for any work. Secure the vehicle safely, provide suitable ventilation, account for moving components and hot surfaces, maintain stable electrical power and use compatible connections. Do not operate the software while driving. Never activate a function without understanding its effects and following the manufacturer’s procedures.

Before clearing data, export or save all useful faults and information. Clearing faults may remove information needed for diagnosis and does not repair the cause. Depending on the available functions, a command or communication interruption may change the state of the ECU or vehicle. Stop using the software if anything behaves abnormally and have the vehicle checked before driving again.

The user must not use DIAGLAB to conceal a fault from a buyer, bypass a safety or emissions-control device, falsify data or access a vehicle without authorisation.

5. Liability

The user is responsible for their diagnostic, driving, installation and repair decisions and for their use of the results. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher is not liable for damage attributable to use contrary to the instructions, misinterpretation of results, unsuitable or faulty equipment, unauthorised modification, insufficient precautions or third-party intervention, provided that the damage was not caused by the publisher’s own breach.

The software is supplied with the stated features and limitations, without any guarantee of a mechanical outcome or exhaustive fault detection. For professional users only, and to the extent permitted by law, indirect loss of business, profit, customers or opportunity is excluded; direct damage attributable to the publisher remains governed by the general law.

No exclusion covers mandatory legal obligations, personal injury attributable to the publisher, gross negligence or wilful misconduct, product liability where applicable, or deprives a consumer of the right to compensation for the publisher’s breach. Free availability does not waive statutory rights.

6. Data, availability and changes

The user must protect their computer and keep appropriate backups. Logs and exports may contain vehicle information, including its VIN; the user must check their content before sending them to support or another party. Processing carried out by S62LAB is described in the privacy policy.

Downloads may be interrupted for maintenance or technical reasons. The publisher may change future versions and their terms without retroactively changing rights attached to a version already obtained. Material changes are brought to the user’s attention before acceptance where required.

7. Contact and governing law

Report a defect or submit a complaint to s62labcontact@gmail.com, stating the version used and the circumstances, and do not continue any use that presents a risk. French law applies without depriving consumers of the mandatory protections of their country of residence. Jurisdiction is determined by the applicable statutory rules. If one clause is invalid, the remaining applicable provisions remain in force.
